Our MissionJubilee Project is a 501c3 that exists to make videos for a good cause. Our vision is to produce entertaining content that will empower, enable, and inspire others to do good as well.
Our StoryIn aftermath of the Haiti earthquake in January 2010, Jason and his friends decided to respond by busking in a New York City subway station to raise $100 for Haiti. That day they fell $30 short of their goal, but when they created a video about it and placed it online they ended up raising over $700 for Haiti earthquake relief.
Encouraged by the result - Jason, Eddie, and Eric joined together to create Jubilee Project. Our diversity of backgrounds, Jason in business, Eddie in government and Eric in medicine, allows us to bring a variety of experiences to the table, but what unites us is our passion for philanthropy and film-making.
But Jubilee Project is more than just 3 guys and one camera. The work we do goes beyond us and certainly requires all of us together, united, with a common goal of doing good. We believe that #DoingGoodisContagious.
Why do you make videos?
We believe that videos are a powerful catalyst for change. Our goal is to create entertaining videos that are fun to watch and that will inspire, enable and empower others to do good as well. Our videos advocate for important causes by raising awareness, fundraise for social-impact organizations, and spotlight ordinary people doing extraordinary things.
How do you help organizations?
Our vision starts with you and doesn’t stop when you finish watching a video.
For our advocacy and spotlight videos, we package them with articles and actions to help you learn more and get involved. For our videos that fundraise for social-impact organizations, we allow individuals like you to become sponsors who pledge to donate 1 penny per view during that month. That means if we get 100 views, a sponsor would donate $1, but if we get 100,000 views, a sponsor would donate $1000. But don’t worry you can always set a cap!
We call our model “Active Viewership.” By integrating the appeal of online videos with a spirit of philanthropy, we have created a model that draws on your attention and engagement.
How can I help?
None of this would be possible without you – we need your help to watch & share our videos, learn about the issues and get involved with your time and money. We believe that #DoingGoodisContagious and that all of us have a role to play in making this world a better place.
Our ImpactJubilee Project has produced over 60 videos, supported 15 different causes and organizations, and raised over $30,000.
